About Blindness Learning in New Dimensions Inc:
BLIND, Inc. is an adjustment to blindness training center that teaches blind children, youth, adults, non-English speaking immigrants, and seniors the skills, self-confidence, and attitudes they need to succeed in education, live independently, work competitively, and be fully integrated into the community. Students learn cane travel, integrated Braille and computers, home and personal management, industrial arts and home repair, and career exploration and preparation. 85% of BLIND, Inc. adult program graduates go into competitive employment, or into higher education and from there to competitive employment.
About the National Federation of the Blind of Minnesota:
Founded in 1920, the NFB of Minnesota is the largest and most influential organization of blind individuals in Minnesota, with chapters in most large communities around the state. The NFB of Minnesota works to improve the lives of blind individuals through advocacy, education, and programs that encourage independence and self-confidence. Members of the NFB of Minnesota understand that the real problem of blindness isn’t loss of eyesight, but the fear and misunderstanding that surround it.
